In April 2003 the time came again to go on another big trip, probably the last one for a while because I was starting work in July after recently completing my Masters Degree. So I decided that I would go on a tour of the Western States of the USA. I only had two weeks to prepare before we were off. After A flight to San Francisco and a couple of days spent at Fisherman's Wharf we began our road trip. First stop was Yosemite National Park, then to Fresno, next we traveled to Las Vegas calling in at the Calico Ghost Town along the way. After a few days staying at a Jacuzzi suite at the Luxor hotel in Vegas it was on to Zion and Bryce National Parks. From there we went to The Grand Canyon and along Route 66 to Flagstaff Arizona. We then spent a two days at San Diego visiting the world famous Zoo before heading north to Los Angeles where we attended the World Premiere of "The Matrix: Reloaded" before heading up the Pacific Coast Highway passing towns like Monterey and Carmel before arriving back in San Francisco. Over the three weeks we drove over 3,000 mile in our little rental car past some of the most spectacular scenery the USA has to offer. Below are links To some of the photographs along the way, please check them out.
