Sapi Island if one of the five island off the coast of Kota Kinabalu within the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.  It is a very picturesque place with white sand and crystal clear water.  The island is home to a huge monitor lizard which I saw walking up and down the tree line by the beach as well as a group of macaque monkeys which chased me off when I got a little close.  The only negative point was the large groups of people that were there because it was on the week end, but I have heard that it is quite quiet during the week.  This is also the Island where I proposed to my wonderful Girlfriend Sarah (she said yes of course).

To get the islands we needed to take a short 15 minute speedboat journey from the jetty at our hotel which stops at all the islands in turn.  Below are some of the pictures that I took when I was there.
